GROTTO... the entrance or portal to what lies within...its center floor tile design indicative of the stars & other metaphysical symbols that will be woven into this web, as the rooms of my imagination take shape and are added to this ever expanding cavern. Cavern is defined as a cave... an especially large cave and my cavern will encompass a number of rooms, grottos and other graphic productions. This was the explanation of the graphic or "mission statement" for my first website, Crystal Cavern.

The Grotto was originally created as special type of room during a project from a graphics group that I no longer belong to. It was later expanded to the present image, when I used it as my website splash page. If you look to the back... the 2nd portal is beginning to appear, these images were designed as a trilogy, with one opening to the next. This first one was made in PSPv6, using stone and other texture fills that were deformed into perspective to achieve the look of a dimensional "room". Stone tubes from the program and the roof arch were added to the original rectangle size graphic to give it more of a cut-a-way effect.
